Prepare Xero for Lentune connection

Lentune uses the same supplier list and GL General Ledger codes as your connected Xero companies, so it’s important this list is clean and consistent.

Suppliers (Contacts)

Lentune uses the same supplier list as your connected Xero company, so it’s important this list is clean and consistent.

What to check

  • Remove duplicate suppliers

    • Review your Xero contacts and merge any duplicate suppliers.

    • This is the best time to tidy up naming inconsistencies before Lentune is connected.

  • Multiple Xero companies? Keep supplier names identical

    • If you plan to connect more than one Xero company to Lentune, the supplier list must match across each entity.

    • Example:

      • Xero company A: Mitr10 Papanui

      • Xero company B: Mitr10 Papanui

      • Mitre 10 Papanui ❌ (will cause issues)

Why it matters
Lentune works off a single supplier list. Inconsistent or duplicate suppliers can lead to incorrect matching, reporting confusion, and manual clean-up later.

General Ledger / Chart of Accounts

Lentune also uses one consolidated list of General Ledger (GL) codes from Xero.

What to check

  • Consolidate GL codes

    • Ensure GL codes and names are exactly the same across all Xero companies you plan to connect.

    • Example:

      • Xero Company A: 200 Purchases

      • Xero Company B: 200 Purchases

      • 200 Cost of Goods

  • Code + name must match

    • Both the GL code number and description must be identical.

Why it matters
Lentune cannot map multiple versions of the same GL. Misaligned GL codes can block exports and cause reporting inconsistencies.

Next Steps

Once your suppliers and GL codes are aligned:

  • You’re ready to start your Lentune implementation

  • Integration setup will be faster and smoother

  • Reporting and exports will work as expected from day one

If you’re unsure whether your Xero setup is ready, raise it with your Lentune implementation consultant before your Discover call session.
