Release Notes 3.99

Lentune | Latest Release Notes (3.99)

Release 3.99 brings a rebuilt Onsite/Offsite Materials experience across subcontracts, claims and PDFs, a much more capable timesheet import, and a new variation status for more accurate forecast margins. In Other News, we’ve tidied up invoice check-in, subcontract claims and project invoices.

Onsite/Offsite Materials

You can now record onsite and offsite materials directly on your subcontracts and subcontract claims, with the amounts flowing through to your costs, totals and PDFs. The previous onsite/offsite layout has been replaced with a cleaner, dedicated tab.

  • A new Onsite/Offsite Materials tab is available in the subcontract editor and the subcontract claim editor, with grand totals shown at the bottom (matching the head contract Variations page).
  • Onsite/offsite materials appear as their own claimable line on the claim, with a dedicated Onsite/Offsite $ column in the subcontract claim window.
  • A Cost code is required on each onsite/offsite line and defaults from the subcontract, so spent costs land in the right place in the Cost Code Coster.
  • The project Subcontracts page now includes Onsite/Offsite and Claimed columns, and claimed and certified amounts across the subcontract and claim screens include onsite/offsite materials.
  • The subcontract claim approval window now includes a Reason for variance box, handy when onsite/offsite materials are merged into a trade summary line.
  • Onsite/offsite materials now appear on generated head contract, subcontract and invoice PDFs, and in the project editor.

Timesheet Import Improvements

Importing time from payroll and HR systems just got easier. You can now import files that only have hours worked, set defaults so nothing gets stuck on missing fields, create new timesheet users automatically, code time straight to a variation, and trust that you won’t accidentally import the same day twice.

  • Hours-only entries: Import rows with just hours worked - no start or end time needed.
  • Optional duplicate protection: You can decide whether additional time sheets can be imported for users who already have time coded against the same day.
  • Set defaults: Choose the Status entries are imported with, and set a Default project and Default cost code to use for any rows that don’t specify one.
  • Auto-create new users: If a file references a timesheet user who doesn’t exist yet, the import offers to create them on the spot.
  • Import against a variation: The template has an optional field for specifying a variation line.
  • A new, clearer import template: An explainer row has been added to the template to tell you what goes in each column and which columns are mandatory, with matching instructions on the import screen.

New Variation Status for Forecast Margins

You can now give a variation a status that adds its value to the revised contract value without putting it on the payment claim. It’s ideal for variations where work is proceeding before the price is formally agreed.

  • The variation’s entered value is included in the Revised contract value, so your forecast margin reflects work that’s underway.
  • The variation is kept off your payment claims until it’s formally agreed and claimable.
  • Stops forecast margins being understated when costs start coming in for variations that aren’t yet priced.

In Other News

Invoices

  • Auto-allocation now fills in the quantity received (or unit price) on each allocation line, not just the value.
  • Invoices can no longer be checked or approved against an inactive project when the project is filled in from a linked purchase order.
  • The price discrepancy window on the Check and Approve screens now fits on screen, so the Confirm button is always reachable.

Subcontract Claims

  • Lentune now generates a unique claim number for every subcontract claim, so claims numbered "1" on different projects no longer clash at approval.
  • When converting an invoice to a subcontract claim, default approvers now populate as soon as you select the subcontract.

Project Invoices

  • Sorting the Excluding, Tax amount and Including columns now orders invoices correctly by value.

Thanks for continuing to share feedback — it plays a big role in shaping the improvements we prioritise in every release. Happy automating!
