How to Add a Timesheet in the Lentune Mobile App (+ Video)

This step-by-step guide shows you how to quickly add and submit your timesheets in the Lentune mobile app.

Introduction

Hey there, new Lentune user! Ready to knock out those timesheets in record time? With Lentune’s mobile app, submitting your hours for the day is quick and easy.

This guide will walk through the steps to get it sorted. But if video’s more your thing, go ahead and check it out:

1. Log in to the Lentune mobile app

Already done this part? Super cool! You can go ahead and skip to the next step. If you haven’t yet, here’s how to get started:

First, download the Lentune mobile app:

Once you’ve downloaded the app, follow these steps:

  • Start typing the name of your company, and it will appear for you to select.
  • Tap Login, and a popup window will open.
  • Log in using your email address and password (as it’s your first time, you’ll need to go through the Forgot Password process to get set up) or tap Login with Microsoft if you have a company email address — whichever option works for you!

2. Add a new timesheet

Alright, now that you’re logged in, it’s time to log those hours! Here’s what to do:

  • Tap “Timesheets” on the Lentune app home screen.
  • Hit the NEW button at the top right of the Timesheets screen.

3. Fill in your timesheet details

Let’s break it down, step by step:

  • Date:
Tap the Date field to select the date for your timesheet entry.
  • Project
Tap the Project field and start typing the name of the project you worked on. The correct project will appear for you to select.
  • Hours Worked:
Input the number of hours worked for the day by first adjusting your Start Time and then your End Time if needed. The total hours will automatically update based on these entries —so no need to break out the calculator!

  • Break Duration:
Your lunch break is entered automatically but double-check it’s correct. If you took a longer or shorter break, just update the Break Duration field.
  • Description/Notes:
Use the Description/Notes field if you want to add any extra details about the work you did that day. e.g., If you spent the day framing walls, you could write “Completed framing on the north side of the building”.
  • Time Type:
By default, the Time Type will be set to your normal working hours. But if you worked something different — like overtime — just tap the Time Type field and switch it up.

4. How to use cost codes (if required)

Some companies may require you to log your time against specific tasks or jobs using cost codes. If this applies to you, here’s what you need to do:

  • Tap the Cost Code field and select the correct cost code from the list. Easy as!

But remember: If you worked on different tasks or projects during the day and your company requires cost codes, you’ll need to submit separate timesheets for each one. This helps keep everything organised and ensures your time is tracked accurately for each part of the project.

For example, if you spent the morning framing walls and the afternoon installing windows, you’d submit two separate timesheets — one for framing and one for window installation — so your hours are allocated to the correct task.

5. Save and submit your timesheet

Once you’re happy with everything on your timesheet, hit Save at the top right. Keep in mind, saving your timesheet doesn’t submit it — it simply saves it as a draft.

To fully submit your timesheet, follow these steps:

  • Tap Submit on the bottom left of the timesheets screen.
  • Then, select the timesheet from the list.
  • Finally, hit Submit again to confirm.

And that’s it — your timesheet is officially submitted! 🎉 You can track its status (Approved, Rejected, etc.) directly from the app.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I can’t see my timesheet?

No worries — just check your filters. Head back to your timesheet list and toggle the filters on and off as needed. This should help your timesheet show up!

How many timesheets do I need to enter?

You’ll need to enter at least one timesheet per day that you worked. If you worked on multiple jobs or cost codes in a day, submit separate timesheet entries for each.

Can I edit a submitted timesheet?

Yes, you can edit a submitted timesheet, but only if it hasn’t been approved or processed yet. Once it’s approved or processed, you won’t be able to make changes.

How do I know if my timesheet has been approved?

Once your timesheet is approved, you’ll see the status update on the entry in the app.
