Overview

The Project Dashboard in Lentune focuses specifically on the cost side of your project, showing detailed breakdowns of expenditure, commitments, and progress percentages. Unlike the Summary Dashboard, which combines a high-level view of both costs and revenues for overall project performance, the Project Dashboard drills deeper into cost-specific metrics - helping you understand where money has been spent, what’s been committed, and what’s still to come.

Team members with access to the project can view this dashboard by going into the Project, then selecting the Reporting Tab.

Percentage Complete Table

The % Complete Key shows how far along your project is from multiple perspectives:

  • By Cost – Spent Costs ÷ Total Cost at Completion

  • By Commitment – Committed Costs ÷ Total Cost at Completion

  • By Revenue (Invoiced) – Invoiced Amount ÷ Revised Contract Value

  • By Revenue (Claimed) – Claimed Amount ÷ Revised Contract Value

  • By Time – Days elapsed from Actual Start Date ÷ Total project duration (Actual Start Date to Forecast Completion Date)

These metrics allow you to quickly compare progress based on cost, revenue, and time. Any major differences between these figures can highlight potential issues—such as slow invoicing, over- or under-claiming, or forecast adjustments that need review.

Costs Graph

The Costs graph displays the change in your project’s cost structure over the last 12 months. This helps you visualise how your costs evolve as the project progresses:

  • Committed Costs typically appear high early in the project as purchase orders and subcontracts are issued.

  • Spent Costs increase steadily as work is completed and invoices are paid.

  • Cost to Complete becomes visible once forecasting is undertaken, showing the remaining projected costs.

  • Revised Budget appears as a baseline, allowing you to compare actual and forecast costs to the budget over time.

Cost Detail Table

The Cost Detail table shows detailed financial information for each cost code grouped by trade summary (AKA head contract line), if applicable.

It mirrors data from the Cost Code tab in the project but with an important difference: The Cost Code tab reflects real-time figures - whereas the Cost Detail table can be filtered for a month-end view, making it useful for reporting and analysis.

Columns such as Cost to Complete and Total Cost at Completion are pulled from the Forecast Dashboard. This ensures your cost tracking stays aligned across all dashboards.

Project Budget vs Spent Table

The Project Budget vs Spent table gives you a clear view of how each cost code is tracking against its budget.

For every cost code in your project, you’ll see:

  • Budget – The original or revised budget allocated.

  • Spent – The total costs recorded so far.

  • % Complete – The percentage of the budget that has been spent, based on the current costs.

This table makes it easy to spot cost codes that are close to or over budget, so you can take action early. It’s particularly useful for monitoring high-value items and ensuring costs are kept within agreed limits.
