Before Lentune
Dalton Electrical has been using Simpro for over 10 years to manage service jobs, projects and field operations. It’s been a great fit for their business, but when it came to managing supplier invoices, they still lacked an efficient process.
One team member was dedicated almost full-time to entering supplier invoices into Simpro, line by line. Their Managing Director, Daniel Berry, recalls:
“We were manually entering every supplier invoice — just plugging away at the keyboard all day, every day. We had one person who was pretty much full-time, and that’s all she was doing.”
They even trialled another invoice automation tool, but it wasn’t able to handle the volume or variety of their supplier documents. Says Daniel,
“We sent them 10 or 12 different supplier invoices as samples, and it could only handle three. The rest just weren’t possible with what the system could do.”

With around 1,900 invoices a month flowing through the business, managing that volume manually just wasn’t sustainable. Thankfully, Lentune now handles the heavy lifting: capturing invoices, managing approvals and seamlessly pushing data into Simpro.
The Results
For Dalton Electrical, adding Lentune to their Simpro workflow has been a game-changer. Invoice processing is now fully automated, with none of the manual grunt work that once dominated.
Daniel reflects on how critical that shift was:
“We were at a tipping point; we either needed to hire another person or find a smarter way to do it. Lentune saved us bringing on more staff just to do data entry.”
That change didn’t just ease workloads — it also cleared month-end bottlenecks, allowing their office team to focus on more strategic tasks like credit control, job coordination and supporting field staff.
Daniel added:
